Andrée Putman Studio — Interior Architecture & Design

The studio
The Studio operates as a living workshop, driven by a multidisciplinary team — art direction, interior architecture, scenography, product design, object design, and production. Each project is the result of an ongoing dialogue between perspectives, hands, and sensibilities. A collective narrative that carries forward the spirit of Andrée Putman: demanding, free, and cross-disciplinary.

Aurélie Laure & Olivia Putman
In 2025, to mark the centenary of the designer's birth, Andrée Putman Studio enters a new era. After having collaborated with the agency about a decade ago, Aurélie Laure takes over its leadership. Since 2007, Olivia Putman has guided the creative direction, sensitively carrying forward her mother's style. United with the vision of her new partner, she breathes in a modern momentum while preserving its heritage and transmission. Together, they brilliantly combine legacy and renewal. They develop new interior design projects, re-editions of iconic furniture, and new collaborations.

Expertises & Activities
Interior Architecture
The studio develops bespoke projects in France and abroad, for both private and institutional clients. Residences, hotels, offices, and public spaces — each place is approached as a unique composition where harmony, functionality, and attention to detail meet. Some projects give rise to original pieces, conceived as natural extensions of the Putman universe.(Re)Editions of Furniture
Drawing from the studio’s archives, we reissue Andrée Putman’s iconic pieces while creating new furniture lines. These collections — Concorde, Lagerfeld, Gstaad... — celebrate a heritage through materials, finishes, and forms that transcend time.Collaborations & Licenses
The Studio collaborates with houses renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship — master artisans, design editors, and innovative manufacturers. These dialogues give rise to objects, furniture, and limited-edition collections showcased at design fairs and art shows. Some licenses also extend the Putman universe into other disciplines: silversmithing, accessories, technology, and perfumery.Foundation
A foundation project is under consideration.
Savoir-faire
All Andrée Putman furniture is exclusively produced in France. Each piece is developed in close collaboration with leading French artisans and manufacturers, whose expertise upholds the highest standards of craftsmanship. Cabinetmakers, upholsterers, metalworkers, publishing ateliers, and bespoke prototyping workshops: each creation emerges from an ongoing dialogue with these expert hands, whose intelligence and precision of gesture give lasting form to the work. Producing in France reflects a clear commitment: to uphold the métiers d’art, to maintain a rigorous standard of quality, and to affirm a certain idea of design, one defined by a controlled language, never demonstrative, and an elegance that does not declare itself, but is felt.

Our Vision & Method
French elegance. Timelessness embraced. Bold contrasts. For us, design is never about demonstration — it is a balance between line and light, between rigorous thought and an unexpected detail. We believe in functional aesthetics, in the strength of opposites, in effortless refinement. And always, in a touch of humor and irreverence — an invisible yet essential signature of our approach.
The studio operates as a contemporary, fluid, and cross-disciplinary workshop. Architects, designers, art directors, stylists, and creatives engage in a shared dialogue where each project is collectively composed. Every creation is conceived as a composition — where forms, volumes, materials, light, and narrative echo one another.
We favor an intuitive and exacting approach — one that is at once sensitive, contextual, and radically modern.
