Fermob x Andrée Putman, 2011
Fermob x Andrée Putman
2011
In 2011, Andrée Putman began a collaboration with Fermob, creating the Inside Out furniture collection, first presented at Maison & Objet. Designed for use both indoors and outdoors, the collection deliberately blurs the boundary between domestic and garden furniture.
The anodized aluminum structure is paired with a strap weaving that recalls airplane seatbelts, a subtle nod to the Concorde interiors that Andrée Putman had previously designed. This combination of materials gives the seating a graphic lightness and durability while maintaining understated elegance.
With Inside Out, Andrée Putman translates her formal design language into the world of outdoor furniture. True to her pursuit of essential and timeless design, she offers pieces that move freely between spaces, where simplicity of form meets great versatility.
