Located in Preston Hollow, the gallery and guesthouse designed by Bill Booziotis in collaboration with Andrée Putman unfolds as a hybrid space, both residential and museum-like. The volumes are arranged to accommodate daily life while showcasing artworks and furniture, with every angle and opening carefully considered to highlight objects and create a dialogue between light, material, and perspective. Continuous walls, corner doors, and strategically positioned windows provide unique views and frames for the collections. The complex, sculptural barrel-vaulted ceiling amplifies depth and guides movement, transforming the journey through the spaces into a sensitive, living experience. Diffused light shifts across surfaces, caressing them and revealing the quality of textures and furniture, where each object becomes a focal point. This project/collaboration reflects Andrée Putman’s spirit in her ability to combine functionality with emotion. Here, every room and every perspective is designed to showcase art and design, while offering subtle, refined comfort. The space thus becomes an immersive experience, where circulation, light, and volumes orchestrate the encounter between architecture and furniture.
