The Putman, Hong Kong
2007
In 2007, Andrée Putman conceived The Putman in Hong Kong, a boutique aparthotel that translates her architectural language into the city’s verticality. Designed as a collection of high-end residences, the building rises in the heights of Central and opens widely onto the city through glass façades, offering guests a spectacular panorama. Each apartment occupies an entire floor, revealing a rare spatial concept in Hong Kong’s dense urban environment. Open-plan volumes promote fluidity of use, while natural light freely permeates the spaces. The choice of sober and refined materials, combined with a light color palette, reinforces the impression of timeless elegance and serene comfort. With The Putman, Andrée Putman delivers an exceptional residential project, where the hotel experience meets the intimacy of a private home — a manifesto of discreet elegance at the intersection of hospitality and interior architecture.
