The Agenda de Ministre armchair combines a solid cylindrical seat with a pronounced vertical backrest, shaping a refined and resolutely architectural silhouette. Clad in mohair velvet and set on a swivel base, it asserts a strong graphic presence. Its black-stained oak base further reinforces its structured character.
Following her American and international success with the opening of the Morgans Hotel in 1984 (the world’s first boutique hotel) and its iconic black-and-white checkerboard bathroom, Andrée Putman accompanied Jack Lang “under the gilding of the Republic” during his appointment at the Ministry of Culture. This armchair was one of the pieces created for that project and is presented today in new finishes.
