The Éloge de la courbe table celebrates the softness of form and the balance of proportions. Its oval stone top, highlighted by a fine inlaid stainless-steel marquetry detail, introduces a presence that is both graphic and luminous. It rests on a sculptural solid walnut structure with rounded lines, creating a fluid dialogue between material and design. With this piece, Andrée Putman develops a language in which the curve becomes a true principle of composition. The design is grounded in a simple and calming geometry, supported by particularly harmonious proportions. The slightly oblong tabletop naturally extends the movement of the legs, creating a seamless continuity between the different elements of the table. Available in various finishes—notably black granite or with an enameled lava top—the table explores the sensory qualities of materials. The depth of the colors, whether dark or lighter in tone, reinforces the sensual dimension of the form and the softness of the design. Between geometric simplicity and supple lines, Éloge de la courbe proposes an approach to design founded on the naturalness of gesture, the continuity of forms, and the precision of proportions.
