In 1989, on the shores of a tranquil lake in Japan, Andrée Putman completed the Hôtel Le Lac project, a serene retreat sculpted into nature. The building, sober and refined, engages in dialogue with the landscape: its façades recede before the water, and its lines convey harmony and serenity.
The interior emphasizes natural light, filtered through large openings, highlighting materials and textures within a minimalist atmosphere. Custom-designed furniture follows the rhythm of the space: discreet yet never invisible, providing both comfort and purity.
